floor maps

The house is located in the 2nd district of Buda, in the quiet suburbs of Máriaremete. The Hüvösvölgy Station can be reached in 5 minutes of driving, and bus stops are within a 5 minute walking distance.

The neighbourhood is remarkably well-equipped. Le Lycée Français Gustave Eiffel de Budapest can be found at the end of the street, and both the SEK Budapest International School and the American International School of Budapest are a 10 minute drive away. The area also accommodates 5 elementary schools, 4 state and several private kindergartens and nurseries, beautifully renovated playgrounds, parks, a swimming pool, tennis courts, soccer fields, running tracks, gyms, doctor’s offices, hairdressers, beauticians, and excellent restaurants. Within 3 bus stops are a shopping mall, a cultural community centre, bank branches, a confectionery, and a farmer’s market. The nearby hills and forests offer sublime destinations, and educational trails. The neighbourhood is very safe, and public security is well-organised.

In 2003, the house underwent a full renovation and became a two-family home based on the plans of an interior designer. In 2017, an energetical renovation took place during which the whole machinery was exchanged. The building was divided into two living units with separate entrances, which makes it comfortable for two generations living together. Both living units have their own terraces and gardens, and they are connected by an interior staircase which can be entirely separated if needed. The ground floor apartment can even be rented out, thereby generating income for the owner.

The property is in excellent condition, it is liveable and comfortable, ready for moving in!

It is suitable for families living with grandparents, or wanting to provide a separate living space for an older child, or wishing to make professional use of the ground floor - for instance, as an office, co-working space, social space, workshop location, exercise studio, etc.

The property is stunningly beautiful. Besides its gorgeous exterior staircase, the garden is full of evergreens, blossoming flowers, and shrubs. The terraces have an extraordinary view to the Remete valley, Budaliget, Nagykovácsi, and the mountains of Solymár. The private backyard has a charming green lawn, a blossoming ornamental garden, a wall fountain, and a stone fire pit.

The first floor can be approached through a stairway from the ground floor, or through its separate entrance from the garden. We arrive at a classic interior with bright light stemming from windows on all sides. The elegant living room is connected to a covered terrace, which can be an ideal location for summer dinners, grill parties, or having a glass of wine together while admiring the stunning view. The kitchen is in close connection with the living room and has a view of the back yard. While cooking, we can observe local groups of birds, or squirrels searching for food in the garden. The solid oak kitchen furniture is equipped with a granite sink, modern machinery, and several convenient storage units. There is a separate pantry with ventilation.

A central element of the air-conditioned living room is the fireplace. The room opening from the living room is currently furnished as an office, however, it could also function as a guest room or a parental bedroom. Entering the yard, we first arrive at a grassy garden constructed on top of the garage. Currently, it functions as a leisure area with deck chairs and a parasol, however, it once accommodated a wooden playground with two swings and a slide. Approaching the entrance, we are passing by blossoming rockeries until we reach the ground floor terrace, or we can proceed to the entrance of the upper living unit.

The yard is surrounded by evergreens and covered by evergreen shrubs, conifers, and plants blossoming from spring until late fall. Both the front and back yard are lawned. The back yard has an intimate atmosphere with complete privacy, as the surrounding plants provide almost full coverage from the neighbouring properties. It is equipped with a romantic ornamental garden, a wall fountain, a stone fire pit, and wood storage. The yard has stone-paved stairs, viacolor pavements, log buttresses, and an automatic irrigation system with WiFi access, and rain sensors.
